UPPI and UP Geography host UNamur for workshop on digital traces
On March 9, 2026, the UP Population Institute (UPPI), in partnership with the UP Department of Geography, hosted a lecture-workshop titled, "Population, Space, and Digital Traces: Opportunities and Challenges of Geolocated Social Media Data." The session was led by Dr. Sebastian Dujardin from the University of Namur, Belgium (UNamur).
The event drew a diverse group of participants from UPPI and the Departments of Geography, Psychology, and Department of Speech Communication and Theatre Arts (DSCTA), as well as representatives from UP Manila National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Mapúa University, Scalabrini Migration Center, and the Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS).
