Dr. Peter Xenos is one of the more regular international partners of the UP Population Institute, given the fact that he took his Master of Arts in Demography at the UPPI as the first graduate in the program. He has undertaken many collaborative research work with faculty-researchers at the UPPI generating literature in, among others, adolescent sexuality, premarital sex, union formation, Asian youth demography, and adulthood transitions- 1, 2, and 3.
Dr. Xenos, along with Dr. Francis Gealogo of Ateneo de Manila University, initiated the Social History of the Philippine Population (SHoPP) Initiative housed at the UPPI, a new endeavor which aims to explore research possibilities in Historical Demography using Philippine Spanish-era parish records.
