Dr. Josefina N. Natividad’s article at the Journal of the ASEAN Federation of Endocrine Societies (JAFES) entitled "Teenage Pregnancy in the Philippines: Trends, Correlates and Data Sources" is one of the most viewed/read/downloaded for the said Journal.

Published in Vol. 28 No. 1 (May 2013) of the JAFES, the study used cumulative National Demographic and Health Survey and the 2011 Family Health Survey to show "that teenage pregnancy in the Philippines, measured as the proportion of women who have begun childbearing in their teen years, has been steadily rising over a 35-year period" ... ""Among the factors that could help explain this trend are the younger age at menarche, premarital sexual activity at a young age, the rise in cohabiting unions in this age group and the possible decrease in the stigma of out-of-wedlock pregnancy".

In recognition, the JAFES presented Dr. Natividad a Certificate of Appreciation at the 20th AFES Congress on November 22, 2019 at the Summit Hall C Hall, Philippine International Convention Center, Pasay City.
